Following Pama Intl’s support slot of The Specials 18 date sell-out tour, the UK’s leading dub collective will be playing select club shows throughout spring 2010.  They will be promoting the release of their critically acclaimed 6th studio album ‘Pama Outernational’,   The brand new album has already picked up airplay from a phenomenal 100+ radio shows, including major support from BBC6music, BBC Radio2, Kiss100, xfm and Mike Davies on Radio 1.  They also recently won BBC6’s Rebel Playlist on Steve Lamacqs show, with a staggering 71% of the vote and recorded BBC sessions for Janice Long (Radio 2), Cerys Matthews (BBC6), Robert Elms (BBC London) and also for Jon Kennedy’s xfm show.  Press have been equally as responsive to ‘Outernational’…

From their inception in 2001 Pama Intl have been brewing a unique blend of 60’s soul, 70’s reggae with a 21st century commentary.  As much King Tubby as the southern soul sounds of Stax, all the time remaining distinctly Pama Intl.  In 2006 they became the first new band to sign to the legendary Trojan Records in 30 years.  2008 saw Pama Intl getting back to their deep-rooted DIY philosophy with the launch of their own Rockers Revolt label, and the prompt release of Pama Intl-Love Filled Dub Band album…

The revolving nature of the collective’s line up has seen the band line up members from The Specials, Madness, Steel Pulse, Galliano, The Lee Perry Band, Pop Will Eat Itself, Steel Pulse, Style Council, Bentley Rhythm Ace, The Selecter and collaborations with Dennis Alcapone, Dave & Ansel Collins, Billy Bragg, Groove Corp, Mungos Hi Fi, Michie One, Rico Rodriguez, Derrick Morgan, Mad Professor and Dawn Penn.

Not content to keep their sound to the music world alone Pama Intl have been featured on seven British and Hollywood film soundtracks. The most successful being ‘Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels’ and most recently last years US blockbuster ‘Fool’s Gold’ starring Kate Hudson.

Pama Intl’s spring 2010 Outernational tour see’s the line up include;  Finny on vocals (The Loafers, Special Beat), Dredy on drums (African Head Charge, Gregory Isaacs), Andi McLean on bass (U Roy, Frankie Paul), Lenny Bignell (Lord Large), Sean Flowerdew on keys (The Loafers, Special Beat) and at the controls Marcos Ferrari (The Specials, Easy Star All-stars).

With not one but two tours supporting The Specials, and Levellers, numerous festival appearances including Glastonbury, and critical acclaim across the board from press and radio, 2009 was another huge year for Pama Intl.  2010 looks set to exceed all expectations.
