Exciting times at Pama Intl. The new album Pama Intl Love Filled Dub Band continues to receive rave reviews. Our label Rockers Revolt is starting to take shape with the website to be launched shortly and a series of new releases planned from June onwards. The mighty Wrongtom has started work on 'Version' album of Pama Intl Love Filled Dub Band (an Oct/Nov'08 release is expected). The 'Reggae For The People' UK tour featuring Pama Intl, The Slackers (NYC), The Pietasters (Washington DC) and Mungo's Hi Fi (Scotlands No.1 sound system) is all set to hit the road in June and July. Festival season is almost upon us and once again Pama Intl have got quite a summer ahead; co-hosting Glastonbury Leftfield stage for an evening, The Big Chill & Beautiful Days, to name but 3 planned.
It's going to be a fantastic summer. We look forward to seeing you all out on the road.

Pama Intl to co-host Glastonbury Leftfield
It's official....Pama Intl are once again performing at the Leftfield stage at Glastonbury this year. After last years show stopping performance Pama Intl have not only been asked back but they've been asked to co-host the stage for the Thursday evening as part of Leftfield's 'Anti-slavery night'. http://www.antislavery.org/
As part of the programme, Pama Intl will be bringing their label mates along; The Pietasters (from Washington DC, the band that backed James Brown), The Slackers ("Americas premiere interpreters of Jamaican music") and Scotland's No.1 sound system Mungos Hi Fi. All four acts will have new albums out on Pama Intl's Rockers Revolt label (dist.by Universal).
Geoff Martin, Left Field Director, said: “We will be getting the party started on the Thursday morning with some very special guest DJ’s and PA’s alongside our house band The Krak before we move in to our famous Thursday Latin American fiesta which will get people moving. We are delighted to be hosting the finest young talent from Liverpool in our “Glastonbury vs The Capital of Culture” segment and then it’s a full on ska/reggae spectacular hosted by our good friends from Pama International before the Levellers top things off with a set for Anti Slavery International.”

KOKO cancelled
We're very sorry to say that we haven't been able to get an alternative date for the postponed KOKO show. Due to other commitments to London venues in July (ULU) and the soon to be announced November date we simply couldn't get another date to work at KOKO this year. Rather then postpone to 2009 it seems much better to cancel for now. Please get refunds from the point of purchase.
Rockers Revolt upcoming releases

As briefly mentioned earlier, to tie in with the Reggae For The People tour we will be releasing brand new album from The Pietasters, The Slackers and Mungos Hi Fi. THE PIETASTERS-ALL DAY (RRHITCD3)
The Pietasters first break came early for Washington D.C.’s ska darlings in 1997, when Rancid’s Tim Armstrong signed them to Hellcat/Epitaph where they recorded two albums with producer Brett Gurewitz (Bad Religion): the genre-defining 'Willis' (SPIN Magazine called it “An equal opportunity dancehall crasher — part ‘60s keg rock, part 2 Tone and part Motown”) and 'Awesome Mix Tape #6' (CMJ noted it for “lacing a Stax shout-out feel with Caribbean rhythms”). The soul-charged 'Turbo' was released in 2002 by Fueled by Ramen. The Pietasters shared bills with NOFX and Less Than Jake on the epic ’98 and ’99 Warped Tours, Joe Strummer 3 and worked as James Brown’s back-up band for one surreal and historic evening.
