It's been an amazing summer. The rest of 2008 looks set to exceed all expectations for Pama Intl. Their label goes from strength to strength, with 7 albums planned on CD and more on vinyl (including 3 Pama Intl releases), a digital distribution deal on the cards and loads of shows all over the UK. Loads of news to get through so we'll keep this brief.

PAMA INTERNATIONAL ON RECORD
2008 has been another landmark year for Pama Intl, with mainstage performances at The Big Chill, Beautiful Days, Dunstaffnage and Galhampton festivals, co-hosting Glastonbury's Leftfield stage and two amazing UK tours.
Following the success of their self released 'Love Filled Dub Band' album they continued to establish their Rockers Revolt label with releases from; Mungos Hi Fi, The Slackers and The Pietasters. To round the year off Pama Intl will be playing select UK club shows (including London's Sheperds Bush Empire and legendary Jazz Cafe) to promote two releases:

Featuring versions of Pama Intl anti-knife/gun anthem 'Highrise' by Dennis Alcapone, Michie One, Rebel MC, Wrongtom, Billy Bragg and more. The Highrise track is being used as part of various campaigns, with kids charities around the UK. A lot of high profile press are running articles on this project. More on this shortly.

Multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Ed Rome has been plying his trade over the years with countless live sessions for the likes of Lee Perry, The Beat and members of The Specials. His song writing has enabled Ska Band ‘The Big’ to become a key feature on the underground Ska/Reggae scene, taking him all over the world. Now Ed Rome is venturing out on his own with a superb debut album, ‘A Life In Minutes’. This soon to be ‘classic’ is crammed with heavyweight rhythms, dirty organ, innovative guitar, Jamaican horns all topped with Ed’s unique growling vocals and everyday tales.
Ed is on tour with NYC creators of Dub Side of the Moon, the Easy Star All-stars in October 2008.
