Radio airplay for Rockers Revolt releases
We are delighted to say that we are currently getting loads of airplay for our labels latest releases… both Pama Intl (the reissue of their debut album) and the Babyhead singles.
For the second week running Mike Davies spun a track from the Pama Intl debut album on his Radio One show last night. You can hear it again for a week here http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00svqly If you’d like to hear more Pama Intl on Mike’s show email him and let him know! punk.show@bbc.co.uk
John Kennedy on xfm has been playing both bands last week. Alex Lester on BBC Radio 2 spun the Babyhead single, as did David Rodigan on his Kiss100 show.
This brings it to 33 radio shows now spinning the Babyhead singles and 21 spinning the Pama Intl reissue, with more coming onboard daily
Listen out for a Pama Intl interview on Chris Hawkins morning show on BBC6 on the 23rd July
If you’re a DJ, journalist or promoter and would like to be added to the Rockers Revolt promo lists just email us and let us know who you are and what you do enquiries@rockersrevolt.com
Rockers Revolt sign Babyhead
We are delighted to announce that we have signed the Bristol sensation known as BABYHEAD to our Rockers Revolt label
Born out of love for Jamacian sound clash, forged through a do it yourself punkrock ethic and delivered with a raw hip hop swagger, the unstoppable Babyhead sound is drawn from all quarters of the musical universe, in true Bristol fashion. They have been a live phenomenon in the clubs and on the festival circuit, for a decade plus, rocking stages from Glastonbury to Fabric and attracting onstage collaborations from Ozomatli, Rodney P, Alice Russell, scores of children, transvestites and a three legged one eyed dog!
Keith Allen called them “bastard child of Ian Dury and Iggy pop” while the legendary Toots Hibbert himself proclaimed the band “Irie, despite their beards and suits”.
